November  22, 2014 - January 6, 2015 - Over 300,000+ Christmas lights and 100 plus riverbank set pieces are on every night at dusk through January 6, 2015. All events take place Downtown Natchitoches and the riverbank of Cane River Lake.  (All times and dates are approximate at this time and subject to change.)
 
Saturday, November 22, 2014  - Free admission to Front Street and Downtown Riverbank
* 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. “Turn on the Holidays!” A Louisiana Main to Main & Natchitoches Tri-Centennial Event! Join us for the official start to the Natchitoches Christmas season as we turn on the Christmas lights for the first time.  This all day event features live musical entertainment, children’s activities, a Natchitoches Tri-Centennial Closing Celebration and Fireworks!

Saturday, December 6, 2014 - 88th Annual Christmas Festival, Louisiana’s premiere holiday event.
Ranked 3rd "Best Holiday Light Show" in the nation by Yahoo.com, celebrate the Christmas Season in Louisiana's oldest city! Enjoy our daylong festival filled with live musical entertainment, arts, crafts and food vendors, a parade and a magnificent fireworks show choreographed to holiday music over the riverbank of Cane River Lake.  Admission armbands are required for entry to Front Street and Downtown Riverbank. Prior to November 1: $6 ages 12 & over, $4 children 6-11 & Free under 5. Festival Day: $8 ages 12 & over, $4 children 6-11 & Free under 5.

Natchitoches Historic Foundation Christmas Tour of Homes
Tour 1: Wednesday, December 10 & 17 (5:00 – 8:00pm)
PRUDHOMME-ROUQUIER- 446 rue Jefferson
This Save America’s Treasures property, circa 1790, is the only known two and one-half story bousillage structure on the North American continent. Owned and operated by the Service League of Natchitoches, Inc., the house went through an extensive restoration in 2005.
 
CUNNINGHAM COTTAGE-305 rue Poete
The Tudor revival (Norman) cottage is decorated with more than 100 nutcrackers collected over the years, representing a variety of literary, classical musical, professional, and trades characters.  A German pyramid complete with candles and revolving nativity scene is traditionally on the dining table.
 
SAMUEL GUY HOUSE- 309 Pine Street
Built in 1850 by Samuel Eldridge Guy, this Greek revival style house remained in the Guy family for more than 150 years.  It is known for its ornate collection displays and elaborate Christmas decorations and operates as a bed and breakfast.
 
Tour 2: Friday, December 12 & 19 (5:00 – 8:00 pm)
H.A. COOK CONDO- 128 rue St. Denis
This 1920s commercial building was completely renovated in 2014 and converted into a residential condominium. Architectural details of the period and antiques appropriate to the era grace the structure. Christmas decorations feature a Coca-Cola theme, the longtime business of the Cook & Taylor families.
 
CHEZ DES AMIS- 910 rue Washington
This 1920s Arts and Crafts style bungalow, is adorned with festive, seasonal decorations in the parlor, sitting room, dining room, and library, where a nine foot tree, ablaze with lights, serves as the focal point. Candles throughout the home add an additional celebratory flare.
 
DORIS EMMA’S COTTAGE- 911 rue Washington
A Sears, Roebuck kit house built in 1939 and embellished with brick and other amenities the Doris Emma’s bungalow retains its original kitchen. The cottage is noted for its collection of nut crackers and light displays during the Christmas season. It overlooks beautiful Cane River Lake and its lighted displays.

MAISON DE FORET- 1900 Williams Avenue
Named “House of the Forest” and constructed in 2005, the house is situated on seven acres along Cane River featuring spectacular views of Cane River Lake. Decorations for the Christmas season include massive trees throughout the house and special holiday displays.
 
KEEGAN HOUSE- 225 Williams Avenue
Constructed in 1850 of heart of pine and virgin cypress this home is a rare example of Colonial Revival architecture. A temple front façade of six Tuscan columns enclose the wide front gallery with tall six-over-six windows of original hand blown glass. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  During the Christmas season this historic home is adorned with period appropriate decorations throughout the interior and exterior of the house.
 
SEVEN COLUMNS- 219 Williams Avenue
Built by Master Carpenter Lamar Dearing in the 1930s, the house contains the original moldings and hardwood floors.  Antique Austrian brass and crystal chandeliers grace the first floor main rooms. During the Christmas season, a beautiful Fontanini crèche is among the elaborate  
holiday decorations.

LOUISIANA SPORTS HALL OF FAME & NORTHWEST LOUISIANA HISTORY MUSEUM-800 rue Front
The 27,500-square-foot museum complex provides a permanent home showcasing and celebrating the achievements of more than 300 Louisiana athletes, coaches and other sports figures. Located on the second floor, the Northwest Louisiana History Museum explores the evolution of unique cultural traditions of the area from early native-American civilizations to the present.
