Melrose Plantation is one of the top attractions for visitors to Natchitoches Parish. It has been home to several notable figures from our local history, including the Metoyer family, Cammie G. Henry, Clementine Hunter, and Francois Mignon. Since the early 1970s, it has been under the care of The Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches (APHN), and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1974. APHN’s President, Dr. Vicki Parrish, will speak about Melrose and the efforts the organization has taken to preserve and interpret it for the public.

This event is free and open to the public. Visitors are welcome to bring their lunch and eat during the presentation.
