  • The Natchitoches Parish School Board is accepting donations until Monday, September 13th. All donations can be dropped off to a dropbox at any NPSB School or to our Central Office at 310 Royal St.  Suggested items include tarps, roofing nails/hammers, water, nonperishable foods, garbage bags, baby formula, diapers/wipes, toilet paper, first aid kits, hygiene products, paper towels, bug spray, buckets/rags, cleaning supplies, work gloves, tool kits, and plastic containers.
  • SIgma Nu Fraternity is collecting items for hurricane relief. Items needed include nonperishable foods, toiletries, water, baby food/diapers, batteries, medical supplies, etc. Items can be dropped off at the Sigma Nu Fraternity House, located at 730 University Parkway in Natchitoches.   • A donation drive has been established with items going directly to the Houma area. Items needed include water, heavy duty tarps, feminine products, nonperishable foods, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. Drop off locations are Calvin Jr. Pre-Owned Marketplace, 1539 Texas Street, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and East Natchitoches Elementary School, 1001 E. 5th Street, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information, call 318-354-4130.
  • Natchitoches Parish 4-H is collecting items from Sept. 1-Sept. 8 (except Monday, Sept. 6) at their office located at 624 Second Street until 4:30 p.m. Items requested include insect repellant, flash lights, food/water, ice chests, fans, batteries, extension cords, pet food, paper towels/plates, gloves, oil for generators, gas cans and gas, carbon monoxide detectors, buckets, ziplock bags, gift cards, cleaning supplies, washing detergent, hygiene products, first aid kits, socks, candles/lighters, blow-up mattresses, rope/bungee cords, baby wipes/diapers, portable chargers, tarps, storage containers, pillows/blankets.   • Northwestern State University’s Office of Recruiting has organized a donation drive to assist residents of Thibodaux, Cutoff and surrounding areas affected by the devastation of Hurricane Ida. Donations can be dropped off at the Recruiting Office in the Student Services Center, 306 Sam Sibley Drive. Office hours are 8 am.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Suggested items include tarps, roofing nails/hammers, water, nonperishable foods, garbage bags, baby formula, diapers/wipes, toilet paper, first aid kits, hygiene products, paper towels, bug spray, buckets/rags, cleaning supplies, work gloves, and plastic containers.
