October Tri-Centennial Celebration Events

October celebrates Creole Heritage month on Saturday, October 11, 2014 with a special green market on the grounds of St. Augustine Church. Also, a special exhibition honoring the Creoles of Isle Brevelle will be on display at the Lemee House in downtown Natchitoches. Other events in October include the Fall Tour of Homes on October 10-12, 2014, Robeline Heritage Festival on October 3-4, Returns to the 50's Car Show on October 3-4 and the Cane River Green Market each Saturday from 8 a.m. - Noon on the riverbank.

November Tri-Centennial Celebration Events

Natchitoches will honor war veterans during the month of November. A civil war reenactment will be held on November 1-2, 2014 in downtown Natchitoches. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Cane River National Heritage Area and the Cane River Creole National Historical Park, special events will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014. On November 22, 2014, the city of Natchitoches will kick the annual Turn on the Holiday's 'Festival of Lights' event. More than 300,000 Christmas lights will illuminate the downtown area for six weeks.

Flowers and Showers Lighted Barge Parade & Concert

On Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6-8 p.m., a lighted barge parade is sponsored by the Tri-Centennial Steering Committee will circle the downtown river front. Party barges must be lighted and can be decorated following the theme. Entertaiment will be provided by Hardrick Rivers on the riverbank stage in downtown Natchitoches. Event is free and open to the public.

Amanda Shaw in Concert & Fireworks Show

On Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 7 p.m., Amanda Shaw, a Cajun fiddler and singer, will perform on the riverbank stage in downtown Natchitoches as part of the Natchitoches Tricentennial Celebration. At 9 p.m., join us for a spectacular firework show. Free event and public invited.

18th Century Fishing Demonstration
